Garrick Club Birthday

Another fun birthday party and this time at the wonderful Garrick Club in Covent Garden. Nancy Thompson had organised a lovely party for her husband Peter’s birthday celebration. The club was soon filled with family and friends, many of whom had travelled from Asia.  The highlight for me was listening to legendary Liverpool poet Roger McGough give a special reading.  When I was an art student doing my foundation course I had one of his cheeky poems written on the inside cover of my portfolio and here I was many years later photographing him at The Garrick Club. If that was not enough to feed your creative yearnings, music was provided by none other than 60's rhythm and blues, jazz singer Georgie Fame. Oh I love my job!
