Kennedy Birthday Party

I had the pleasure once again of shooting a birthday party at the magnificent Banqueting House on Whitehall, London. This Inigo Jones designed masterpiece is always a pleasure to visit. Over the years I have photographed numerous events here including a huge Middle Eastern wedding. Brave photographers are able to capture the party from the balcony above. It allows a stunning view of the party below. However you need to lean quite far over the balcony and for sure it’s an angle only for the brave. The floral decoration was particularly beautiful for this April event. I photographed the tables and floral decor both in daylight and once lit later in the evening. I feel it looked prettier with daylight. The guests were treated to roast chateaubriand and soufflé potatoes washed down with Dom Perignon. Speeches and dancing late into the night was in order for all.
